So with all that said, let's get on with it and have fun!

This tutorial was made in PSP 9, but can be adapted to any version.

Start out with a blank canvas of any size of your choice.  The size of it would depend on how big you're going to make your Bling..  Fill this first layer with Black.  (This is so you can see your work as you go along.

(We're going to create layers as we go along because we won't know how many layers/frames we'll have until we're done.)

Most important in making a Bling that look good are the following settings.  You will be using the airbrush.  (See Below.)
Shape:  Round Default
Size:  10
Hardness:  5
Step:  10
Density:  15
Thickness:  25
Rotation:  180
Opacity:  65
Blend:  Dissolve
Rate:  10

For best results, use color #d3cdcd

You can experiement with settings, but these work well.
With an idea of what shape you'd like to make, the possibilities are endless.  (You can create a template by drawing out a design first.  (use the pen tool with the bling color and the background set at nul and doodle a design just above your background layer.  You will be deleting this layer when you are done.)

Step 1.  New Raster Layer.  Taking the mouse draw a small portion of the design.  (Keep this layer open.)
Start your design.
Step 2.  New Raster Layer.  Again, taking the mouse, overlap over the first drawing a bit and continue drawing out your design.  (Keep this layer open, also. )
Step 2 - adding on to the design
Combined view
Step 3.  New Raster Layer.  You're going to follow steps 1 and 2 until you have completed your design.  (I have 12 frames in this little bling.)

Keep each layer open so as you go along, you can see where you are.  Always slightly overlap part of the next layer over  the one below it..  This will give you that trailing look you desire.   Don't worry about overlapping exactly over the one below as you can see in the view below.  What makes it a trailing bling is some slight variations.
Step 3.
Three frames of the design.
Here you will see some of the layers in this bling and what they look like combined as you are working along.
Last Frame
What you'll see once you're done with your design.
Almost done.  If you are using PSP 9, you would delete the black background and the Vector portion - If you outlined a design.  File, save as an "Animation Shop PSP".  (Not paintshop psp)  Go to animation shop and keeping all of your frames at Speed 10.  (Default Speed)  You can view your animation.  Yes, it's hard to see, so you may want to change the background setting to black just to see your results.  See Below to see how to do this.
Go to Animation - Replace Color  ------>
Then choose All Frames, Transparent Regions and replace with color of your choice.
If you are working on a different Version of PSP and do not that the ability to save as and "Animation PSP", then do the following.

Using the visibility toggle and starting from the top, close off each layer, leaving the 1st one on the bottom visible.

Edit - Copy

Go to Animation Shop and paste as a new Animation.

Close off that layer and open up the one above it and do the same.  This time, Paste After the current frame.

Do that until you have all the frames in place.

Then using the Replace color option and view animation.

If you like what you see and want the colored background, Save as a gif.  If you want to have the transparent background to use on anything, hit the undo button to get rid of the background and then save as a gif.

I hope you had fun with this tut.  The possibilities are endless!  Especially if you add sparkles or change some of the settings!

Now for an added addition, you could add some sparkles or twinks around on each of your layers to make your bling more of a sparkeling bling.    Have fun experiementing with different things and see what comes up to your liking!  (I tried using  DSB Flux - Bright Noise, but I didn't see any difference. ) You may want to try some different settings just to see if it helps your bling show up on lighter backgrounds.
